For about 20 years, Kota Osada worked at one of Tokyo's best-known hair salon groups, where, in addition to his work as a stylist, he served as assistant manager, manager and salon director. He was also involved in the group's technical, HR and creative divisions, gaining broad experience in everything from salon work to staff training, store management and creative work. He went independent in 2026 and opened NAMI ginza in Ginza on 22 June that year.

DesignDesign that truly suits you
His work centers on niawase — creating a style that truly suits each person and brings out their charm. He specializes in bangs and face-framing cuts, layered cuts and sheer, translucent color. Rather than simply applying a trend, he builds each design around the person's bone structure, hair texture, overall look and lifestyle. His goal is a hairstyle that looks great not only when you leave the salon, but is also easy to manage in everyday life — one that makes you love your own hair.
CareerCareer
He joined the group in 2006 and became a stylist in 2009. From 2011 he also took on technical and HR roles, becoming assistant manager in 2013, salon manager in 2014 and salon director in 2016. While refining his skills as a hairdresser working directly with clients, he also devoted himself to training staff, building the organization and improving service across the salon.

Beyond the salonWork beyond the salon
His work extends well beyond the salon: appearing in hair shows, styling hair features for magazines, and teaching technical seminars for hairdressers across Japan. Through his experience in the creative division, he has worked both on hair design that fits into everyday life and on hair as artistic expression. Not only practicing techniques himself but also passing on the thinking and fine details behind them to other hairdressers has become a foundation that deepens his own skills and proposals.
His clients include celebrities and public figures, as well as people from many professions and walks of life. Because everyone wants a different impression and has different hair concerns, he values careful conversation to understand what each person wants and turn it into a style that suits them.
Guests from around the worldAcross countries and cultures
During the Tokyo Olympics, he volunteered at the Athletes' Village, styling hair for visitors from overseas. Today he welcomes many international guests in his day-to-day salon work, with repeat clients from the United States, across Asia, Europe and many other countries and regions. Beyond nationality and cultural background, he builds lasting relationships of trust with each person.
Paying attention to differences in hair type, preferences and ideas of beauty, he makes a point of carefully sharing a clear picture of the result each guest wants. He approaches every appointment hoping to be a hairdresser whom both people living in Japan and visitors traveling here can consult with confidence.
NAMI ginzaGoing independent: the road to NAMI ginza
In 2026, he left GARDEN, where he had built his career for about 20 years, and went independent. To bring the skills, sensibility and experience in training and management he had developed into the kind of salon he truly wanted to create, he founded K-crew Co., Ltd., and on 22 June that year he opened NAMI ginza in Ginza. He continues to look after clients as a hairdresser while leading the new salon as its founder.
The concept of NAMI ginza is to enjoy otona kawaii — a grown-up kind of cute — just as you are. The salon is committed to technique and finish, yet it's a place you can visit without feeling nervous and casually talk about even small hair concerns: a salon where high quality and approachability naturally coexist. He wants it to be the place that comes to mind not only before a special day, but whenever you feel like taking care of yourself in everyday life.
That idea takes shape in a salon where hair, eye design and everyday maintenance are all available in one place. Beyond hairstyle and color, guests can get advice on lashes, brows, and hair and scalp care according to their own wishes. It reflects his hope that, even in busy lives, people can enjoy beauty without strain and make time to take care of themselves.
PersonalityPersonality, and what he values
In person, he is friendly, down-to-earth and natural, with a good sense of humor. At the same time, he is serious about his craft and about building the salon, thinking through the smallest details and always looking for a better way. With clients, he explains technical matters as clearly as possible and values a relationship in which people feel free to share their wishes and concerns.
Even after going independent, what lies at his core is gratitude to the clients who have come to him for many years, and care for the people he works with. He believes that creating an environment where each staff member's strengths can shine and everyone can grow leads to better service for clients. He aims to build trust as a whole team, not just through his own skills, and to grow a salon that is loved for years to come.
Skill backed by deep experience, and an approachable manner that lets you relax and talk openly. Valuing both, he continues, through NAMI ginza, to answer each person's wish to “be myself, and look and feel even better.”
